Log it or lose it
A job with no timer on it did not happen. No backfilling from memory on a Sunday night.

Measured and guessed never mix
Backfill is allowed. Dressing a guess up as a measurement is not — a guess gets its own column, labelled.

Every figure has a receipt
Hours come off a timer, dollars off a receipt. "Quick job" is not a number. 3.5 h is.
